FAQs

What can I expect during a session?  A session generally lasts three hours, although longer sessions might be considered useful.  Each session consists of a 50/50 split of an

  • interview to determine what subconscious traumas you suffer with and which is the most limiting (non-hypnosis section of the session) and
  • Then hypnosis, where we together with my suggestions clear your trauma and reprogram your subconscious routines to serve you better.

What is this Subconscious Trauma?

Nearly every person has some level of subconscious trauma.  Not all of these traumas are debilitaing but for some they can be overpowering and limit the success of sometimes even normal living.

There are 5 general feelings associated with this trauma.

  • I am not good enough
  • I do not belong
  • I cannot get what I want
  • I have anger, resentment, rage and/or bitterness against someone or something
  • I do not feel safe, or all is going to fall apart (constrant dread)

How many sessions do I need?  Sessions with Hypnotherapists that are focused on clearing subsconscious trauma are generally successful within one or two sessions and the client can then practice some self-hypnosis to strengthen the reprogramming of the subconscious and even clear smaller traumas.

Fortunately you will be my friend forever, yet not my client forever doing repeat sessions over and over.

Where is the session conducted?  Over Zoom, believe it or not.  Yes, you can simply use your phone/tablet etc. propped up so I can observe your breathing and face.  You may lie down, relax in a chair or anything that is comfortable for you.

What is Hypnosis?  It is a state of relaxation that allows the congnitive, conscious part of your mind to relax and be put aside while we talk with your subconscious mind.

Am I asleep during hypnosis? No, you are simply relaxed.  If you fall asleep, which happens once in a while, I will wake you up...and you will still be hypnotized (relaxed).

Will I hear you during hypnosis? Yes, every word.  Remember, you are not asleep.  In fact you will remember nearly every word.

What can the hypnotherapist make me do during hypnosis?  Nothing that you do not allow.  Remember you are not alseep and I cannot "make" you do anything you do not want to do.

Yes, we have all heard about the "cluck like a chicken" stage hypnotists.  Remember the people who come up on stage to "play" are being entertained by a stage hypnotist and are very receptive to many suggestions, so yes, some cluck like a chicken and some bark like a dog, only because they really wanted to.
